Cayenne Pepper (medium heat)

Description

Cayenne is a common type of chili pepper that is between four and twelve inches long, thin and features a slightly smoky, tart, and pungent. This ground cayenne pepper is a reddish orange in color and may be used in any recipe that calls for chili pepper.

This particular pepper comes in at only 30,000-40,000 SHU (Scoville Heat Units) but don’t let that fool you.  We still recommend adding this spice to your dishes one pinch at a time. This way you will be able to locate the ideal heat level for you. Wondering about heat level? Think Frank’s Red Hot, Cholula, and Tabasco. These are all cayenne pepper based products.

Is great to use in chili, soup, taco meat, and sauces.
